My skin - argh!

My problem is I have combination skin. I get spots quite frequently.
I wash my face in the morning and at night, and after I wash it it feels dry and tight, so I moisturise and then it goes greasy really quickly in my t-zone! It's really irritaing because the skin on my cheeks is really good, and I just want the rest of my face to be like it!! Anyone got any hints/tips/advice on how I could sort this problem out?

Certain varieties of the pill are meant to help with problem skin. Unfortunately I can't think of anything else except making sure you drink 2 litres of water a day, sleep well and eat healthily. Lots of fruit and vegetables for all those vitamins!

What type of products do you use for washing your face and for moisturising? Also, what skin type do the products say they are for?

Try to avoid foam facial washes even for combination skin as they can really dry out your skin.

LOL. Well it's quite a dramatic solution!

Tea Tree Oil is good I think.

Cleanse and tone rather than washing with soap is better for me personally. Since doing two/three times a day my skin has been so clear and even. I use l'oreal cleansing milk rather than just a clear liquid one (seems less drying IMO) and then No7 toner which smells lovely and fresh. If I need it I use the plain nivea moisturiser, but prefer not to which is why I use the cleansing milk.

I use a clay mask every now and then which is good for your pores in general and helps bring the skin on your nose up to the standard of the skin on your cheeks. Pore strips are rubbish, avoid them. Sometimes I just use a peel off pack on my T-zone to make me feel better.

Most clearasil products can be very drying as their ingredients are aimed at helping to clear up spots. Sounds like you need something a bit gentler. Do you have a Lush shop anywhere near you at all?

Hmm that might be the problem actually... I mostly use clearasil soap-free as I said above, but I sometimes nick my sister's foam one because it's closer at hand. I'll stop using that one and see if it makes a difference. For moisturising I use good old Nivea.....

Do try to mositurise your face at least once a day, as even though cleansing milk is being used it won't provide enough moisture for the skin. Even just use a very light moisturiser, just a touch on your face will do as this will ensure your skin doesn't start to dry out.

Oh I slap it on before I go to bed - don't want nasty skin when I'm older - but I find it really greasy and nasty if I put it on before I intend to go out anywhere.

Same here, although I might switch to a light, oil-free moisturiser. Seems like a good plan.
Anyone got any good tips for eliminating pesky spots?

Oh I've got some great ones, but they're all things you shouldn't do

Would squeezing be one? I have to learn to refrain from doing that!
