    She did make it but she turned it down

    a) because she didn't like emmanuel

    b) because she didn't like Cambridge and

    c) because she didn't want that pressure over her when doing her a levels.

    She went to edinburgh med school in the end which is just as good if not better.

    I know a girl who used to go to my school who applied to St Johns because of teacher pressure, but [claims] she would have turned them down because she had always wanted to go to Durham.

    I got offered AAA to do English at Swansea when I did my undergrad. I thought that was taking the mick a bit.

    I got an unconditional from Leicester, when their typical offer is:

    A/AS Levels: Three A levels. Two AS levels considered in place of one A level. General Studies accepted.
    Typical offer: 340-400 points normally including AAB from 6 or 12 unit awards.
