What's the best place to live in London?

I've been thinking of moving there myself, but I'm not just after advice. Don't say Bayswater, Regent's Park or Mayfair. I was in the city the other day and went around Hamptead. Have to say I was pretty underwhelmed. I don't like anywhere that feels too cramped for space. What about South London - Wandsworth, Merton etc. I don't think I could live right in the centre.

I reckon West London is really nice - somewhere in Chiswick (if you can afford it).

I really liked the area around Holland Park and Notting Hill Gate but that's quite exclusive. I liked Wimbledon when I lived there but you have to know the good bits and bad bits. Anywhere along the Thames from Pimlico to Kingston and Hampton Court is bound to be nice.

If you're a student then Camden is nice, really interesting fashion scene there, huge variety of basically everything and it's a short tube ride to the centre.

My sister lives around Greenwhich and that's pretty nice too, a bit quieter but still lively.

South-west and North-west are my favourite parts of London (that covers a huge area, I know :p:). They are very pricey though. For somewhere nice and affordable...Kilburn, Gospel Oak in the North. Clapham, Battersea if you fancy the South.

I live in South West London.... in Richmond and it's pretty nice here.. I also recommend places like Wimbledon, Chiswick, Kingston (although it's technically not actually London) Kew, Hampton... however, nightlife isn't so 'live' as it would be in more central london but it's nice here!

some parts of East are nice, some parts of hackney..... also the outskirts of east (redbridge lol) are nice

I live in Sutton which is next to Merton. I'm tired of it but its got good links to the city and is very green. Think rents are quite high though because of this!

Best places to live: South Ken, Canary Wharf, St. John's Wood, Parsons Green, Chiswick.

Worst places to live: East Ham, Tower Hamlets, Newham, Northwick Park, Kenton, Kingsbury, Harrow, Southall, Whitechapel, Neasden (basically anyplace where you find outlets selling groceries where the vegetables are strewn across the pavement- not very hygienic!)

Lived in Richmond and Hampton for a few years each and they're a really nice place to live :yep:

Belgravia is nice and so is Chelsea, specifically many of the roads off Fulham Road.

Not North Harrow.

I like St John's Wood/Maida Vale.

Lol, it is very nice, I sometimes work in a Pharmacy there. Wouldn't mind living in the area when I'm older.
