drama gcse written exam help please!

Hi, I'm doing drama gcse and have got a high 'a' grade overall in my acting (worth 60%) I'm predicted a*'s in english-I would really like to get an a* in drama, and I think that I should be good enough at writing to do so. However, we only do pretty basic writing exam stuff in our classes because we're not in sets and lots of people who do it are only aiming for c's. There aren't really any revision guides for drama, and so I can't see model a/a* answers. In my mock I got a b but I really think I can do better than this seeing as we get to take in notes with us..the problem is that most of the notes we get in class are only of about a b standard. So.. I was basically wondering if anyone knows of places I can get good revision notes (my plays are woman in black and abigail's party), see good model answers or see detailed mark schemes for the drama exam (I'm doing the one which has questions i.e write about an actor who impressed you, write about a scene that had a strong effect on the audience.) I know this is a long shot, but any help would be fab!..Thanks love Jess

What exam board are you taking it on?

I did AQA and it wasn't like that at all (just had to write about one play I had seen!!Was very easy... ) Is your exam like that or different like a play you have studied? I can help more if I know...

Anyway whatever exam board you should find specifications and sample papers/mark schemes on the website. They should be of a lot of use..

In terms of effects on the audience and strong acting then you just need to be really clear about what they did, how they did it (so pitch, gesture, etc) and what effect it had. For example "the use of costume in xxxxxxxxxx was particulary effective because it allowed the effect of xxxxxxxx to be conveyed to the audience" or "the actor playing xxxx in xxxxxxx was able to create tension for the audience by using vocal qualities for example through his tone of voice and through stuttering with the words as if he was scared" (sorry I just made that up then...to give an idea)

my drama was nothing like that, i did AQA 60% was 2 x 12pages coursework on what we done in the yr, (1 for y10, 1 for y11) then 40% performance
