Hey,
Just thought you'd like to know - My boss at work was telling me the other day that uni's are phasing out elective placements for physios.....
I'm gutted as St Georges is using next year as its first year of not doing them - that would just happen to be the year I'm starting!
Very disappointed as I'd already been thinking about what I'd like to do!

That's interesting...my friend already has hers pretty much planned out, she's intent on going to Canada!!!

apparently its because many students have trouble finding places to take them.......especially as its over the holidays......departments have problems with annual leave etc
there are a number of reasons but I think thats the main one...........apparently you'll make the time up over your other placements

Yeah I'm sure they'd make it up. Oh well, you'll just have to get all trained up and then move abroad so you can work in some exotic locations!!
