How long do Blood Test Results take to get back ?
Plz keep anon,as it's personal thanks
I had blood tests on Thurs am. Was meant to see Gp on Wed afternoon - but have had to change it to Tuesday afternoon.
My question is, can i expect Gp to have some results back by then ?
I know i should have asked the Surgery - but i forgot. And i will ring on Tuesday morning & ask if they are back.
But just wondered how long other peoples have taken ?

It depends what tests they are 
Some can take 5 days- a week some take a couple of weeks...
The day after you've had the blood test.
Whenever I've had any blood test done my doctor has said to wait 7-10 working days for the results.

Yeh were I am that was 7-10 days though mostly it came back early at just under a week.
It's sounding unlikely any results will be back Tuesday Afternoon.

Yep that's what I usually have done. Can't get it back any earlier but I dunno why. It's been like that at all surgeries I've been to.

You know that most places the receptionist can give you the results over the phone? And you only need an appt with GP if they say you do. Though Ive only ever had 'make an appt to discuss the results after they come in if you like' so found out the results before appt anyway.

I need to see Gp whether they are Clear or not .. If they are clear Gp will need to do further investigations to find out what's causing me these problems

Yep but I just meant at least you could know the outcome sooner than an appt.

I'll ring Surgery Tues lunchtime & if no results will rebook Gp for the following week

It's normally 3-4 working days for me to get routine blood tests back so you might be lucky! 
Our surgery does seem particularly quick compared with others around here though.

Mine normally seem to be 3-5 days too!
The lab will do the tests the same day as they are received if they are just the basic ones, others will take longer, it also depends on how long it takes for the doctor to receive them. I've had just a basic full blood count be done on the thursday and the doctor had the results on the tuesday morning to discuss them with me, just ring them up in the moring like you said and they'll tell you
