Do you think Bio Oil causes spots?

I've been using Bio Oil twice a day (as the bottle states) for the last four weeks , over the past couple of weeks I have noticed many spots appear in the same area on my jawline. Prior to using the Bio Oil I rarely had spots I only wanted to use it because I had a couple of blemishes on my chin but as of recently I've been getting spots regularly. :frown:

So the question is does Bio Oil cause spots?

sounds likely..has it worked on the scars?

I have been using bio oil for about the same amount of time, and I haven't noticed any more spots than usual, Im pretty sure they claim that it doesn't cause spots though. I think it might be something else.

Well I thought it would work better than what it has done so far. It has made my skin 'glow' and toned down a couple of the blemishes...
But I suppose I can't expect miracles in such a short space of time. :p:

It contains mineral oil, right? Which is comedeogenic. Or however it's spelt, I forget. It clogs pores, basically.

try jojoba oil or olive oil but wipe off the excess.
Yes, just little ones, though.
i use bio oil everyday too. Its never given me any spots, though i dont use it on my face.

Everyones skin reacts differently. Maybe try using a cream-based product that does the same thing. i know boots do various blemish control creams and toners etc. for the face

Well since I have been getting the spots apart from Bio Oil I haven't used anything different:confused:... So I think I may stop using it for a while to put the theory to the test.
I wouldn't let bio oil anywhere near your face or neck. You're self-inducing blocked pores which equals spots.

It's best to stop using the bio oil and let you're blemishes fade on their own. In my experience bio oil doesn't even speed up the natural process anyway.

Yes, I have had a lot of little one's on my jawline, not a good look considering I never used to have any before:frown:

Yes, it seems this way, I'm think I'm going to stop using it and see if my skin goes back to how it was.

I actually think I'll do that too, just to see what happens

Not really. us girls can just get a little concealer to cover the little buggers up. :p:
