A recent survey concluded that the vast majority of schools have a friendly paedophile in their employment. But I am curious as to the breakdown of these paedophiles.

Same, ours was the tech teacher! Also my form tutor for two years. The rumours were up before I started at the school and they're still around now (even though he's left)

In retrospect, whilst he probably *wasn't* a paedo, he was incredibly odd.

The rumours were that he'd drop things on purpose and get girls to pick them up (this is an all girls school), swore at the pupils (in reality he just had a really odd accent) and was a little too friendly with some of the sixth formers.

In reality, he was quite argumentative, he never took a joke, stuck to the rules rigidly (in yr 7 we wanted to listen to England play in the world cup on a small radio, he wouldn't let us because we 'had PSHE to do' so we all got up and ran out - he just stayed in the form room). You generally got the vibe from him... Y'know the vibe! And he bought a student teacher to and from school everyday, poor lass. Sounds pretty normal now but at the time - scandal!

We had rumors of P.E. teachers sleeping with slaggy year 11s, and a certain french teacher who liked 6th formers, but nothing paedo (that I know of)

I've just rememberred something, the old pervy teacher I was talking about earlier, was always used as the school photographer when he was there (girls school btw) and I once found a photo of me highjumping on the J drive at school that he had taken....slightly disturbing!

I put other as it was in primary school so he taught everything. We got a letter at the start of year 2 informing us that a teacher, my teacher for the previous year, was no longer in employment at the school as he had been arrested for being a paedo during the summer holidays.

I think I'll say that one of my old Geography teachers did his teacher training at school in Soham at the same time a certain Ian Huntley was still working there - that's the closest connection I can think of , no known paedophiles as far as I can remember at any of my schools.

Our PE teacher was arrested for it, but there are many other rumours. One of the geog. teachers asked out another teacher's daughter when she was here (allegedly). And the ICT teacher's a creep.

One of the things I like about Sixth Form college, is that if a teacher and a student are attracted to each other, big effing whoop-de-doo.

I honestly can't say I've ever known of any 'paedophiles' at school. Of course, some were a teensy bit perverted, but ultimately harmless.

One of our Music teachers got done for touching an under age girl inappropriately after school in his classroom. Another girl managed to find out and he later got sacked but apparently started dating the girl shortly after. The girl was willing as she liked him too. both of them had always seemed to be pretty sad anyway.

We had a very old paedo from the Edwardian era. Used to hang out by the bike sheds during PE lessons. The lengthy, draining rugby matches would finish, and they boys would get all sweaty, and he'd wave his cane and ask if anyone wanted to 'wrangle on his todger'. Horrifying stuff.
