Is there any way to apply to more than 5 universities?

This is probably a silly question, but here goes! I know you're allowed to apply to up to 5 UK universities, but I'm sure someone told me you could apply to more if you paid for it? Is this true?

Not really planning on doing it before this sparks a debate of the pros and cons, just wondered if it was possible :smile:

Someone on here posted that if you paid double you can apply to ten unis... That was of course nonsense. You ca only apply to five unis per cycle... I applied to seven unis over two cycles...

I'm not entirely sure on the paying side, I do however recall something about some universities and course combinations having you apply direct to the university and not through UCAS.

You can apply to foreign unis i think outside of UCAS but im not entirely sure.

If you apply to other countries' universities as well, then yes.

Some courses automatically consider you for another course if they reject you. You could also apply outside of the UK or to private unis in the UK because some of their courses do not require UCAS applications.

if you apply realistically, you should get at least one offer. if not you can apply for more unis on extra (after receiving all responses) and then apply on clearing.

But the limit is 5 initially.
