I lived in Sillitoe court in first year - I don't Think there's much difference between it and Madison. You'll have 2 bathrooms between 5 of you. Rooms are relatively small, but fine, and you'll have a kitchen/ living room which is quite big, with a dining table and naff soft chairs :p:
They're not near campus though, unless you mean Jubilee campus?

There's so little difference I couldn't say. Have you been to look at them?
Maybe Madison has the edge.

I've only been to the showroom, they are all the same to be honest.

You'd be right , the rooms are pretty much the same as far as I can tell across Raleigh apart from the ensuites in terms of decor. But they are more plain than the show flat , you won't get any blue painted walls (apart from Byron/Chattersley).

Should I ask for Madison Court then?

what building is more popular ( I want to leave it a while before I send my thing in but I don't want there to be no rooms left ) ??

I am going to be a fresher in sillitoe court.
It is far away from main campus.
How can I go to the campus then?

I'll also be in Sillitoe Court with my course ar University Park. (There was only Raleigh Park and St- Peters court left when I applied)

However Sillitoe court looks and sounds nice, and is apparently close to the city?

There are hop on buses you can take, or walk like 20 mins I think.

Hi i'll be at Raleigh Park too, at Sillitoe Court ! I think that all my courses will be at the main campus. But as for the distance someone told me that we have to walk 10minutes to take the bus and then in 10-15minutes we're at the main campus  it's not that far !
Hey.. anyone at Roddice Court
I lived at raleigh park last year, and it takes about 25 minutes to walk to the main campus - I only took the bus when it was tipping it down, as it could get really crowded at peak times, I think I took the bus about 5 times in the whole year! And it takes about 20 mins to walk in to the city centre.

Hi, flat 55 anyone? X
how are the flats arranged, cos im in flat 10, so does that mean each flat number has its own floor (flat 10 is on the 10th floor) or are they all in diff buildings, or is like flat 10 in its own block (like flat 7 in its own block, etc) this is really confusing me and i dont know who to ask lol
The walk to University Park isn't far (and there's a free bus (15 minute frequency throughout the day starting at 8am) about 5-10 minutes away at Jubilee Campus, but it gets busy at peak times in the morning and when it's raining), and it's quite a nice walk in the mornings at about 8am.

The flats in Sillitoe Court are arranged in blocks of four to six floors, with two flats to a floor, one either side of the stairway. The numbers of the flats bear no correlation to the floor numbers. There are numerous blocks, spaced out across the site, but close enough to visit your friends in other blocks. Sillitoe Court seemed very popular when I was there.

Raleigh Park is in a nice position to get into the city (compared to University Park and Beeston, where it's a trek), but it's not RIGHT in the centre of town, you still have to walk a fair bit to get there, or the 28 bus goes past every ten minutes into town, to the Victoria Centre, which is a good enough location to be "in town".
