In my experience, Film/Media students.

I have a friend who refuses to go see a film if it got a bad review in Empire. Really annoying actually, she won't go and see something because it looks rubbish but a laugh, it has to be Empire accredited.

But where's the fun?? I wanted to see House Bunny (yes I know it's probably **** but I wasn't in the mood for anything intellectual) and she refused and made me go see The Rocker which let's face it, wasn't much better. Anytime I say "Ooh fancy the cinema?" she has to run off and check Empire :p:

Hi i dont know if its for media but ive studied empire
and the demographic audience is B,C males, aged 18-24
and upper class. dont know if this helps?

Males

17-30 years old broadly

Finacially, not the poorest, but not the richest. The mag is like 4quid plus isn;t it? So the byer needs to be a movie lover or at least have a fair bit of disposable income.

Empire magazines must be one of those in danger of dying soon.

Sigh. I wish I could have a word with her and remind her they think the following films are masterpieces of modern cinema; Pirates of The Carribean, Transformers, 300. Yeah, no kidding! Go look at their '500 best films ever made' list and you'll find these amongst their perfect rundown.

I wouldn't have thought so.

It has a circulation of 144K of which 133K is in print form.

For comparison Railway Modeller has a circulation of 36K and Practical Caravan manages on 23K
