History i found a bit of a pain even though i got an A*, if you do edexcel paper 1 is a beast-2 hours of solid writing hehe by far my most stressful GCSE exam.

graphics
not really hard, just very time consuming.

Russian.

History and Physics as a separate science I found to be equally hard, though I went for History as I got a C, but a B for Physics.

I found physics hardest. I did double science GCSE and got BB, but i would have got AA if it wasn't for physics

Art; so much work, shouldn't have taken it. ><

I also suck at english, DT, and Chemistry. :/

Reply 7

art in terms of sheer amount of work

foreign languages and sciences you can't just blag it either

this is sooo copying my easy AS levels post!

Languages and DT. I tried much harder for French than any other subject but I was still terrible; its a bit of a miracle that I even got a B! DT is probably the most decepetively difficult exam - the first third of the paper was like "What do you use to cut paper with? a: scissors b: glue c: rhombus" the next part wasn't much more difficult and the last part was quite hard but I still expected to do better than I did; I got a B forthe coursework but my exam dragged it down to a C :-(

French for me and maths, though my German learning pals swear that's awful.

No such thing as a hard GCSE. :p: lol.

Seriously though, when i did my GCSE's i found Graphics a tough exam because as there was soo much to do in so little time.

Reply 13

English. I find it really really hard to get a good grade. I soooo want an A in it.

Reply 14

German.

Just German.

My order of difficulty from easiest to hardest was:

French
RE (short course)
History
English lit
English lang
Chemistry
Physics
Biology
Food tech
Media
Maths

I did double award science and got AA, and all the exams were mixed, so I have no idea what I would have got in each as a separate science, but I found chemistry the easiest, then physics and then biology.

English... writing isn't really what I'm good at. :frown:

I write better stuff in French than English

Others are OK, specially Maths and Chemistry

I wouldn't say I found anything difficult at high school, though i'd have to say Art was probably the most challenging.

We had to produce a lot of high quality work to get a decent grade and we had no permanent teacher through year 10, so in year 11 everything was a rush. I know that to get an A* in it you needed 59/60.. i'm not joking!

It was a killer. I should have chosen business studies instead. I found it was really boring too!

I HATE ART! Buuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrnnnn!

Maths and Physics. Never my strong points, got B and A in them.

When I did GCSEs my hardest was Astronomy...but it was also my most interesting...i think in order from easiest to hardest would be..

Maths
Music
Chemistry
Business Studies
Physics
English
English lit
Biology
IT cos of the amount of work
History - so much to remember
Astronomy - this was just plain hard...but I found normal Physics quite easy..
