No they are not, Glasgow campus is bigger than Strathclyde, and Stirling is on an estate so is much more spread out than Strath which is in a.... city.

Stirling is a city btw.

Yes, I know. Did I say it wasn't a city? It's a self contained campus university though, and the term 'city' is mutually exclusive to the size of the settlement. The 'town' of Reading is four times the size of Stirling. Glasgow University is more of a campus than Strathclyde, as Strathclyde has other colleges, shops and council buildings intertwined with the rest of the university- so its difficult to distinguish between the university and the rest of the surroundings normally. This isn't the case with Glasgow or Stirling, which is what I was pointing out to the OP. N.B. Try not to confuse this with preference towards one or the other, its merely different, and thus warranted a mention, since, y'know, I like to try and help posters rather than needless nit pick posts.

What I meant was that it is a lot more compact since it is in an urban enviroment.

I live in Stirling, and through experince i would recommend you go to Glasgow. I mean the uni might be good, but as a city itself its really not great. The night life is not good, Glasgow was my original first choice for Management but i was rejected, so Aberdeen it is! Although the sports facilities are really good up at Stirling uni!

I think out of the two, if I could have chosen Glasgow I would have. They're probably not particularly far off each other academically, with Glasgow slightly ahead at a pinch, but the social side in Glasgow will (obviously) beat Stirling hands down.
