Best part about Christmas: everything feels so warm and cosy even in the freezing cold.
Worst part: It's the holidays and I'm always alone <sob>

    Awww! Poor thing.

Personally, I think Christmas is way too commercialised. I know some shops that started putting up their Santa's grotto in September!

Early snowmen decorations looked especially silly this year, what with the warm weather lasting so late.

"Snowman? But it's 20 degrees outside?!"

It does get annoying. Work Saturday's at local B&Q and there they were prepared for Xmas by late October. It does get annoying listening to Walking in A frigging Wonderland for nearly 7 hours lol.
I used to work for a company that did all the P.O.S. (point of sale) for Homebase.

Stores will start planning their displays and items for next christmas as early as February so its hardly surprising. We used to be talking to them non stop about some Christmas display they wanted.

A friend of mine owns a shop and he says he takes more in the run up to Christmas (Sept - December) then he does in the rest of the year combined.

Having said that the older I get the less it seems to mean to me, perhaps there will come a time when it means sod all.

Hardly, you'll have had kids (or nephews or nieces) by then so it will mean a heck of a lot to your wallet!

    I'll snuggle with you!!! No?
    # This is my December
These are my snow covered trees
    This is me pretending
This is all I need #

By the way Lou, do you prefer the Reanimation or the original? Or have you only heard one version?

I got all three albums, not felt ripped off by one. I did not get the impression from one Reanimation where I felt that they spoiled the song. In the case of My December I prefer the Reanimation, Kelli Ali's vocals and the Christmassy music make it so good!

But we figured we're only here til the 12th dec, so we might as well have some fun and get into the chrimbo spirit before we all go home!!! i do like christmas.. just only when it is christmas.
i think its way to commercialised... people are buying loads of crap to give people for christmas and spending loads of money but i dont like that side of it.
yeh we can give presents to people at christmas its a tradition but not the way some people do.

there are loads of houses ive seen with plastic santas and spakley lights covering the outside but that defeats the whole point of christmas.

it shud be kept to december and december only... im fed up with seein adverts for special christmas offers and shops filled up with crap and toys that are just gonna get bought and wasted cus its christmas.
