Well I certainly wouldn't have had a hope of coping with Cambridge maths without having done further maths (and I don't really cope even with further maths...), but I know several people who did single maths and are doing fine at uni. Every university will take applicants with only single maths, although the better ones may question whether you had the option to do further and, if so, why you didn't do it.

I've applied without it and got 4/6 offers for top uni's - no oxbridge though.

I've been told it doesn't make much difference once you are past the first term or so as they pull everyone up to the same level.

Notts, Loughborough, Leeds and York... the last two for Maths and Economics though.

I think i've posted about this before! But I am now doing Maths at uni without having done further maths! The only place I was questioned as to why I didn't do further maths was Cambridge(although I didn't apply there!) but I got offers for other top uni's like Nottingham and Warwick. They all said the same thing about bringing everyone to same level int he first term! I know several people that have done further Maths on the course and they don't seem to be at a huge advantage having done it! In some cases they can't remember their work from further maths so when it's covered in lectures its been good revision for them! Often the lecturers teach it in a different way so they may find a better or easier way to do topics they'd covered before! I also know several people that didn't do further Maths, and like me they're all surviving just fine! We may not have the familiarity of having seen the topics and information before but it's perfectly accessible! So you'll be just fine! Good luck!
