no worries, I just like to hang around in this thread ^^
Don't worry, I can hang around as much as you like, lol!
Oh, I have a question. Do you live in Private sector accommodation? How much does it cost per week? Is it cheaper than Brunel Accommodation? How far is it away form uni? I have this idea that with the Maintenance grant (that I will receive), I could rent a house when the exams are coming up.
Because currently, I live in London, but it would take 1 and a half hour to get to Brunel from where I am. So if I was to rent a house near to the uni (say 5-10 minutes walk), it would very convenient.

First year i lived in Brunel accom, 2nd year I rented a house (there are no private sector 'halls,' just houses). Renting a house is more expensive, as you have to pay for bills, plus you're contracted for a year instead of the 38 weeks of uni. There are houses located anywhere from 1 minute to 30 minutes away from uni. Lots of students are trying to fill up rooms in their houses atm, but it would be for a set amount of time, not just for 'exam time.'
I think that as you're going into first year, live at home this year (maybe crash round mates room's for exam time?) and then with teh friends you make, get a house for the second year together, as the work gets a lot more and a lot harder and there's no way you would want to be travelling that amount of time everyday.

you can join as many as you like, just that some will clash. Anime society runs on a wednesday, cult film society is run by my housemate so I think that's on a mon or a thurs.
Yeah, the Snow Club, I'm a part of it, I went on the trip last December

Should I buy online membership to Brunel Student Union now, or should I wait till Freshers week?
I have been trying to login into evision since tuesday. But whenever i log in it says this: ''Tasks appear in this in tray at certain times of the academic year that you must complete.''. Does this same message appear in anyone elses evision home?
How you feeling about it? Im kind of excited.. but indifferent
Very excited, I've just spent the last hour trying to find out our timetable managed to get onto u-link and then was trying to figure out what the heck all the stuff on it was. Came to the conclusion that they haven't actually put the timetables up yet haha. exactly 3 weeks till freshers
