anyone else get freshers flu? i got it so bad i was stuck in bed with a fever instead of going to the freshers ball

GUTTED! :frown:

ive had the freshers flu since last thursday but i still havent been to bed earlier than 6am this whole week. seems stupid but my flu is alot better now event though ive still got it. my cough has become worse though and it looks like everyone i know has now got it.
I only had one hour of learning for Mathematics today. It was this lecture on essential skills, which is for everyone taking Mathematics at level one, and it's a bridging course from A-Level maths to university Maths (and to get us into gear). The other 2 Essential skills classes were walk-in sessions to seek help on questions, which a lot of people just ignored.

We were supose to have Mathematical Modelling class, but the lecturer says not for the first few weeks...

I should one day just for the fun of it, walk into someones lecture and sit there for the whole duration. Anyone wants to invite me to one? lol
Anyone want to go pick some Tamiflu up for me?

Swine flu the week after Freshers = no fun.

Cool, 2 days off, what subject you study? Do you live on campus?

I'm doing Financial Computing and no i don't live on campus I commute there. I get every friday off, but on wednesdays I go in one week and then have the other week off. Still its all good

That's nice. I only have one lecture a week, the rest are just classes going over worksheets and maths problems, which I find fun, hehe!

Same, I wouldn't want to catch swine flu too. *puts on mask*.

Apparently so, I'm not the only person with flu symptoms I'll tell you that for nothing.
I'm sure its just freshers flu.

It was!

Yay. I mean I still feel like death but I feel less like death than I did yesterday so it can't be swine flu.
Did anyone go to trampolining on thursday ? It was really good ,I'm planning to go from now on. I met some cool people and got some numbers...I recommend that those who haven't joined any societies/clubs should do so because you can meet some really cool people with similar interests to you.
Heya guys! I've set up a Brunel students thread on the Brunel university threads on TSR

no the taster session was last thursady . Its every thursaday 7-9 in the sportshall.. you'll have to wear comfy clothes ,no jeans and socks. It costs £15 for a sports federation card which covers insurance and I think you have to pay 50p every week you come. I'm not sure about the price of the club I haven't joined yet.
