deep heat increases circulation, so its good for muscles... i normally use ice to reduce swelling, since its part of the RICE thing

Excellent. Right from a medic. To be honest I was quite worried about it coming from a vets perspective. Horse dosages and whatnot.

yep, but '1st year' will instill less confidence than '5th year' so don't be too impressed... i only know cos i injure myself a lot doing sports

isn't deep heat just salicylic acid (at least that's what it smells like)

In my experience deep heat and freeze are basically only useful for placebo effect and have no real effect on injury repair........
