LSE vs Cambridge vs Warwick

Initialy my preference was Cambridge but end up stepping back from it. Reasons were extra 6000£ and title of the degree. People normaly take MPhil as a research degree which really put me off. In reality MPhil Management is a ten month taught based program. The WBS brand is good enough for UK but I doubt it is good enough for international market as compare to Oxbridge/LSE.

WBS is well regarded abroad and is growing in reputation. A top student from WBS will have better chances than a mediocre student from Oxbridge/LSE.

MPhil is usually a research degree, but all of that goes out of the window with Cambridge as they offer awards as they see fit. Recruitment at top firms will know a lot about Cambridge degrees so I really suggest it won't be a stumbling block.

It's between Cambridge and WBS and depends whether you have the cash for the Cambridge course.

Thanks for your advise mate. Cash is the major issue for me at the moment. My preference will be

Cambridge- if I can afford
LSE/WBS-Cheaper one. At the moment for me is LSE. Lets see if my application for bursary is successful than I will think about WBS.

Have you seen the course contents of Msc Management organisation and governance? I am not sure why you are giving preference to msc management at WBS.

It's the title, the LSE course strikes as one for people who couldn't get onto the straight MSc in Management course. I'm not saying it is but the course title just isn't as impressive on your CV.

The MPhil in Management at Cambridge is a very well respected course (and also tough to get into!)

Not really; I saw individuals who were barely scraping 2.i (I think this is the correct UK grade standard) at my interviews and they got into an argubaly harder course than the Mphil above.

OP - Go for LSE; Cambridge has a very weak business school and if reputation is what your going for, Oxford > LSE >> Cambridge as a general rule of thumb for managament/finance/economics.

If your doing a Msc because you wish to further your employment prospects soley, and further if this is in banking, LSE has a much better, and wider, alumni network than Cambridge (which will again affect your studies also through the contacts the business schools of both institutions will bring in).
Anyone wanting to glean anything useful from James Cohen's writings should be aware that he is the dupe of someone who was previously permanently banned and who has a record of claiming attendance at universities he had never been to, and with passing on advice based on his fictional experiences there. He has probably been no closer to Harvard and Cambrdige than their websites; he may not even have visited the USA, and should not be trusted on anything at all that he wrote.
