I notice noone has added to this for a week... we should get a Leicester forum. I was looking for one when i registered on here and was sad to see there wasn't one. We should start a Leicester Uni society cause more people seem to go on the societies page meaning we may get our own forum!!

In fact... I'm going to see if there's one and if now, start it right now!!

I'm at Leicester Uni studying law. Great uni... having the time of my life.

The downside is that the main Campus is kinda far from the Halls of Residence, though. A 40 minute walk or 15-20 minute bus journey (as for the buses - think rush hour on the tube in terms of demand for the Uni bus). It's cool, though. Would recommend.

Digby. I'm in one of the Edwardian houses... would highly recommend. A shared room but I wouldn't swap it for the world. Large room, lovely location, beautiful gardens :tongue: The blocks seem pretty... bland... in comparison.

All hail those who said that Uni days would be the best days of your life.

As for the course - a mix of great and bland lecturers, but I personally find the subject fascinating. At the minute I'm just getting used to the workload - plenty of reading (more than can be done, but it's the same at most Unis for law). I'm kinda putting the social life first at the moment!

Cool. So what's the city/uni like for socialising?
Pretty good... the uni organises a lot of social stuff in the first few weeks... I've been on more bar crawls in the past month than I've been on in my entire life... so you get to know where the bars and clubs are (all the important stuff). The Union was refurbished before I got here so that's pretty top-notch at the moment.

Not sure about the reputation in that field, sorry, but overall Leicester is rated well - much better than most places for teaching (and with an outstanding reputation for student services)

ive applied to leicester too yey! not my first choice, but it seems like a wonderful place! :smile: ...and yes, there should be a leicester uni forum too...not fair!
It seems like such a... small world! :p: Another Leicester lawyer! Straight law?

Most people in the blocks seem to hate Digby... but the houses are cool :smile: A bunch of girls living in a big house... what could be better?

Bowder... not the one that looks like a prison block, is it? (!) (Know that one's nice enough inside! :p: )
