Is There Any Point In Prefects!!!

I was just wondering if anyone actually thought their was a need for prefects. Or is it, just another way for schools to bully people? :eek:

Of course there's a need - it's fun!

Become one early . . . beat my record of dishing out detentions to newbies when you only been there a year - simply by stealing tie :wink:

lol once a year at my school, sixth formers needed house ties (for a verse speaking choir and house choir) and we used to swap ties with juniors. Those little brats would refuse to take anyting but a prefect's tie :biggrin:

It was great being a prefect...you could easily part a sea of smally smelly children simply by flashing a few "blue tickets" (punishment slips).

prefects get abuse, supposedly it helps with ucas though. My mates aren't so sure :confused:

yes there is... i was a prefect, and my form loved me... they bought me champagne and chocolate (despite having a mean age of 11) and told me loads of really dirty jokes.. they were :cool:

We have a 'student council'. :biggrin:

And we've raised nearly 2 grand for charity this year, so it isn't all useless. :smile:
