When do males stop getting "random erections"?

Does this mean when you are peeing in one of those public toilets you see other guys get random erections?

its bc of the material of your trousers and pants. i wear really soft pants and my trousers are always really soft aswell so i often get random boners because the material rubs against the penis and if its soft and relaxing it can make you erect. not sure.

This very much depends on the individual.
The erections are not entirely 'random' but can be triggered by the slightest sexual thoughts. In most cases men learn to have some control by their 20s. In my case the thought of dog poo was a big turn-off & worked every time!
Later on you begin to realise you can't get one when required

My bf is 23 and started masturbating at around 14, but he still says he gets random erections, like when he's doing work or sometimes when he's walking around. He says that he's not thinking of sex, but they "just happen". It's not a problem for me, in fact it has made us into quite a sexual couple!

In my experience guys get frequent erections into their 50s, and after, it's different for everyone. Mine sure didn't stop at 18 or 19, they just got more frequent! It's not like you have to have sex every time you get a boner, if that's what you think (I couldn't tell if you thought that or not). I mean, it gets hard, then it goes away. With me it started when I was about 4 years old, and it's never stopped yet. Middle aged guys often have trouble getting erect even when they want to, so, I think that while you are having a surplus of erections, you should just go on as usual, don't try to hide it, just be happy and proud of your stiffy and, people love it!
