Been to Hound once, was cool, will go again some time! :smile:

And while i havnt been to Klute once this term, there was a point last term when i ended up in Klute 4+ times a week! The bar staff all recognised me, and knew what drink to get me! :eek:

Hopefully I'll visit klute after the formal on thursday, and the bar people at home were like that at one point over easter, but when you drink apple sourz mixed with lemonade and midori!

I'm not free this week either, shall be going to see a band in the fishtank on friday.... they played Aidans open mike night a while back too(if Oli, you happened to stumble into the JCR and heard a band called Haywire).

I'm not a big fan of the fishtank as it is tiny and the horrendously overpriced for drinks!

But definitely after the exams... :tsr:

Fishtank has amazing charecter and £3 for triple vodka isnt bad, but beer from cans is highly amusing

Really?? WHY?! lol...I've been to Planet twice. It's actually pretty good, I think I would actually class it as the best night out in Durham, since downstairs the music is a bit dancy (obviously commercial dance, but better than cheese or RnB!)....so I always enjoy it!

Actually...the 2nd time I went I was sick in the toilets then fell asleep sitting on a bench outside the toilets :redface:

But the first time I went I had a lot of fun! :biggrin:

Hmm classy with the vomming there! I have no idea why it gets called Hound, it just does!! It's so random I know!

Yeah, that night I was absolutely gone! I started drinking straight after tea, playing drinking games and downing a load of random mixed drinks (that was the problem - I never mix my drinks and so I'm never sick, this time I was drinking vodka, whiskey, lager - urgh!!, amongst other random crap)....I was absolutely hammered before I even left Trevs.

Infact...I remember how I had to get someone to lock my door for me before we left, as I couldn't get the key in the keyhole lol!! :redface:

I guess "Planet of Sound" rhymes with Hound..... :rolleyes:

Yeah Hound, Sound, but why hound? Not an especially normal thing to nickname something!!
Mmm nvodka, whiskey and lager................Sounds nasty!

I think... i could be wrong, it's a derogatory nickname- in suggestion that everyone in Planet of Sound of the female persuasion are hounds, which of course are a breed of dog. :frown:

I think also, that hounds tends to be the bailey name- planet the hill name.... i could be talking out of my backside, but sounds feasible.

I dunno.........I'm sure my friend at Van Mildert calls it 'Hound', but I can't be sure......

I've never heard of any place called Hound, everyone I know calls it "Planet" so maybe there is some truth in the theory! :smile:

I've heard it refered to as "Planet" in Collingwood, but everyone round here calls it "Hound".

Hound is always a good night out though! They have dancing Girls on the podiems, how can that ever be a bad thing! In fact a young Lady in my block is one of said Dancers. :smile:

I would certainly say that Planet is definitely the best night out in Durham by a long way! But only for the downstairs room - the other two are poo! :p:
