the current worst thign ever about the durham cheese dance scene is "Way to Amarillo".

Every time i hear that song i feel a strong urge to stab somthing in the eye.

Although at the moment, i am listening a lot to Luke Haines who is very indie, but wouldn't like to be classified as such!

Hmmmm....no the radio 1 DJs actually use twiddly knobs and stuff. Although I hate Chris Moyles (used to love him back in the good ol' days of him in the afternoon 3.30pm til 5.45pm when I was in year 10!)......but Jo Wiley, Colin & Edith, and Scott Mills are all excellent DJs, much better than stupid local DJs!

I meant DJs in *clubs* when they're not actually DJs!! Get yourself down to Promise in Newcastle....see some proper DJs :biggrin:

Man, you are obsessed with that Promise joint....I have bcome involuntarily addicted to radio 1 due to my roomate always having it on, then during the Easter holidays, I discovered I needed it! I do like Colin and Edith and Scott Mills, Zane Lowe is quite good too. Moyles really is up himself though. And I can't STAND Sara Cox!!


Talking of Radio 1...I'm going to One Big Weekend on Sunday!!!Yay! Even better, I'm going to the aftershow party as well! Yay!! :biggrin:
Me and some friends are going to One Big Weekend too, we got on the guestlist by being the first 3 people at concepts on monday morning for the Maximo Park gig (!st 16 got places). I think we may have been a little bit keen since noone else, apart from a 15 year old girl and 2 12 year old boys turned up until about 0830, two and a quarter hours after we arrived. Shop didn't open till 10 anyway! Nevermind, it promises to be a good day out. Only have to figure out how we're getting to Sunderland now...

The aftershow party you just buy tickets for I think - it's at some random club in Sunderland (Liquid maybe?) - just for your information - Promise are joint-organising that afterparty :biggrin: :p:

And yes I'm obsessed with Promise....it's the best night out ever!! It's a shame there are so few people who like good proper music. Ah well...I shall continue talking about Promise (and Smile! which is on at the same club as Promise :biggrin:)

I am ('very') good mates with the guy who co-owns Lovedough who are doing the aftershow party with Promise. So he got me the tickets and stuff...no queuing required!

I went to Klute when I visited Durham - minging!


All you people who think Klute is crap, it's been crap for more than 25 years. It has a reputation to keep up! Take it from one who lives locally. Klute is one of the worst night spots around, that's why it's so revered. :smile:

McDonalds is crap....absolutely awful CRAP :mad:

What's a Nandos? Is is Mexican food....for some reason it sounds it....if so then YES! I miss Mexican fast-food after my time in Arizona last summer :frown:
