follow what your doctor says. hypothyroximia can be treated with thyroxine and after a while your weight should balance out. don't cut out food or you'll swing completely the other way and end up underweight...

hun, try not to get too depressed over your weigt, if you have managed to lose some then that is a great achievement, just because you have put a bit back doesnt mean the end of the world, i think your doctor is right you shouldnt cut down on food, if you are unhappy about your weight the best thing to do is eat healthily and get exercise. The exercise will also make you feel better as it will release good toxins and make you active!

when i said a while, i meant weeks... hormones are relatively slow, then you have to take account of what its affecting... thyroxine increases your metabolic rate so you will burn more calories, but that's not the reason you take it, its to correct the hormonal imbalance. just eat a healthy diet and do regular exercise... and be patient
