Have you checked on line?
i.e. posted can mean posted online.

I can't recall your background but if your current degree is economics and you have good marks then you should be fine. Finally in a worse case scenario you can still apply to more unis: no limit to number of msc applications you can make.

The "decision posted" is on the postgrad online application system, so I am waiting for a letter. Do you know if the admissions team close over Christmas? I could have sworn they email people the decision.

Thanks for the reassurance though!

I see.

The University will officially close from Thursday 24 December 2009 (i.e. Wednesday 23 December will be the last working day) and will re-open on Monday 4 January 2010 (i.e. the University will be open for work on the morning of Monday 4 January.)

I could have sworn they email people the decision.

When I applied the response was by letter. But I had asked Warwick what was the status of my application as my other 2 unis had made offers. And they emailed to say that they had made a recommendation of an offer to the senate. So it is possible that they would have emailed me anyway. But I think not.

No problem.

Well I haven't got a letter yet... so I'll phone tomorrow. Crosses Fingers

P.S. I changed my username.

Conditional Offer from UWarwick! :yep:

Conditional on what, if you don't mind my asking?

Thanks. Conditional on:

1) IELTS with 6.5 or above or equivalent test (my ~ 2+ year old TOEFL 119/120 wasn't enough apparently!)

2) A German BA grade of 2.4 or better (this seems to be their translation of a 2:1 since < 2.5 is "gut" in Germany).

I'm on my way to < 1.5 "sehr gut" so its not a problem! :eek3:

That's just a load of stuff I don't understand :ninja:

Was just curious. Thanks.

Hi DerPumuckl

May I ask if you called pgadmissions to find out the decision? Or did they email you?

I phoned them and that's when they realized that they had forgotten to email me. I got an email five minutes after the phone call.

Hey I've got a conditional offer to the economics program as well. Do we have to accept the offer within a specific timeframe?

Hi  , does anyone know how you upload your transcripts at Warwick? Are you sent a link by e-mail? How long does that link take to arrive after applying?

Thanks.

Hi Sarah,

you get an email pretty soon after sending off the online application. In that email there is a link to a secure site where you can upload additional items.

Good luck!

Apologies for opening a new thread, I should've asked here: I have conditional offers from Manchester and Warwick for MSc Economics. How long before I have to reply? It's going to be a while before I hear from my other unis.

Reply 194

From all i know you can always accept and then decline in the end. In Warwick there is no deposit attached to the offer.

Reply 195

Which of these unis has a deposit for their MSc Economics or MSc Economic Research?

UCL
LSE
Cambridge
Oxford
Warwick - i know they don't

Does anyone know how long one has to accept and is the deposit refundable?

Reply 196

Warwick, doesn't need any deposit. I've got a conditional offer for the Diploma-Masters and I accepted it immediately although I'm waiting for other Unis.

If it is among your top choices then you should accept it because everyone else would be doing the same and places might run out

What mark do they want in the diploma to gain entry to the msc these days?

Good luck with those 2.
