Offer from Loughborough

Hi everybody!
I recently applied for an MSc in Sports Biomechanics, for Liverpool John Moores, Manchester Metropolitan and Loughborogh. Until now only Loughborough has answered and the make an unconditional offer.
People I've talked to here has told me that is quite a good place to study anything related with Sports Sciences. I'm from Spain, never had heard about this University and even less about the city. Can anyone give me some idea of how's the University and how's the city?

It's the best Uni in the UK for sport, it's known worldwide! It regularly produces world class athletes, hosts international competitions and has the best facilites in the UK for sport. They also have international/ex competitors as teachers. You've got a good offer there!

In short anyone that want's to do sport science want's to do it there!!

I'm not sure what the town is like though!

Hehehe, thank you for the advice. I've arrived to know that, because when I talked with people here in the UK about what I wanted to do all answered with a "and you want it in Lboro, dont' you?".
I supose I'm lucky with the offer, but still haven't found anyone to tell me about the town, except someone that told me that the campus has all I'd need  (which perhaps says something of the town anyway hehehe).

ok, I'll tell you about the town as I had to endure it being at school for 7 yrs in loughborough. Its not huge but it has got pretty much of everything you would need, i.e food shops, clothing ( although not that many- leicester/notts is better for clothes), plenty of pubs, 3 clubs..nice scenery going out of loughborough, if u like the countryside. On thursdays and sat it has the open market which sells everything. The town itself is quite nice and easy your find your way around. Nearby is leicester which is only 45 mins away on the bus, got loads of shops etc there and good for a night out and notts is only about 1 and half hours away by bus, but u could always get the train. Notts is fab too so you have plenty of choice if you go to loughborough!
As Sam said, the uni is excellent for sports. You are going to the best in the country if you go to loughborough. Loughborough has won the BUSA league ( british uni sports league) like 25 times and is always ahead in the competition. They spend millions on the sports facilities every yr so you know you will be always be using the best and working with some of the top professionals in the field. Many sports ppl train at loughborough as well!

Sounds good enough hehehe. I was afraid that it'd be more like a village with big university. Anyway, even if any of the other universities I've applied to answer positively, I think I'll accept Lougborough. Sound exciting all that sports madness!!
