physics short circuit current

A car battery has an emf of 12v and an internal resistance of 0.050 ohms.

(1) Calculate the short circuit current for this battery.
(2) The battery is now connected in series with a lamp. The resistance of the lamp is 2.5 ohms. Calculate the power dissapated in the lamp.

Plz help I don't even know what short circuit current is. :confused:

1) 12/0.05=240A
2)the voltage now devides so
so rtotal=r1+R2
so .05+2.5=2.55
12/2.55=4.71A
now power input-power output=power lost
power =VI
so (240 x12)-(4.71 x 12)=so the power lost is 2.82KW it's seems big but I think it is solved this way
short circuit is small circuit inside the battaery
