Dundee Nightlife....??

i just want to know really all the best places.whether its a lively club or a wee pub. all different tastes included please. anyone know dundee that well? thanks

There are loads of really good pubs within spitting distance of the university. The clubs are decent for a place its size, although I always felt places like Fat Sams were a bit too overcrowded and 'local'-ish at the weekend. The Union is excellent for that sort of thing too, even if it is a bit lacking in other ways.

Reading Rooms

Are the 'Rooms still open? There was some plan to refurbish it and turn it into more of a venue type thing the last time I was there.

Sounded like they'd ruin it.

The unions really good for cheap drinks.
I don't really like Fat Sams but Liquid (which is right beside it) is new and is really good.

Theres loads of places to go for drinks, i've been in Dundee for nearly a year and i still havent gone to most places yet!

yeah the rooms are still open, prefer fat sams though.
not been to liquid yet but sounds nice. theres club mondo as well which is alright.
london isnt great though - too many underagers.
temple lane and undergroud are the best imo

also - to whoever above said they hadnt been to liquid - Amazing - awesome club - quite easy to cheat ur way into VIP as well :biggrin:

you've got fat sams live - thats recently been refurbished apparently that the aim to be scotlands biggest live music venue - theres also a load of other places - im not too sure - but everythings here - just a matter of finding it!

Doghouse is best gig venue, but never been popular with students. A good thing in my opinion.

The Reading Rooms and the West Port certainly used to be good for small gigs. There was always some live music going on somewhere.

westport bar doesnt do gigs anymore now does it?
imo the best venue for gigs in dexters or the doghouse.
fat sams isnt bad either
