hi, i lived in hamstead last year and tbh it aint that bad. the surroundings are pretty sweet and the rooms arent to small. If your at perry barr campus getting to uni aint too bad but if your at BIAD then it can take about 30-40 minutes if your needing to get the bus in morning.

The rooms and kitchens are basic but overall it wasnt too shabby.

as for rent it was like 75 a week..i think.

i hope you have a good time at BCU, unless your doing product/interior/industrial design in which case your SCREWED! i just wasted a year doing it and im now transferring to aston uni.

Someone told me that it'll cost at least £500 per month for a studio flat around the city centre. But this might not be accurate though. I was looking for something similar but gave up after considering the cost. So looking for flat/house share instead.

Good luck though!

Why are we screwed? :s-smilie: I'm choosing out of here and Kingston for Interior Design so some insight on these courses/unis/cities would be a great help
