Day 17 now and I feel completely knackered. Went to bed before midnight and didn't get up till after 1pm feeling lethargic. Why that's suddenly struck me I don't know. Gonna make sure I now go to bed as soon as I'm tired, but I was kind of hoping the ADs would have the opposite effect.

To the person above, 40mg is a lot. Most people usually start on 20mg, don't they?

Yeah. I started on 10mg for a week, then upped to 20mg for a month. But it didn't work for me so I'm trying 40mg now. I've noticed a little difference, but not much tbh.

I started on celexa 20 mg almost a year ago for anxiety/postpardum. for the celexa to reach it's full max you have to give it up to three months. that's what my doctor/friend told me and it held true. i went to see my doctor today b/c of horrible anxiety lately and he choose to up the dose to 40 mg and said it would take about a month for me to feel any change - i've already been on it for about a year. did your doctor give you any other prescribtions to tie you over till the Citalopram fully kicks in? my doctor gave me a month supple of valium & zanax. Call your doctor and see what they can do for you know - not a month or two later. you don't need to suffer like that - it's miserable!.
