Have any of you ever fainted?

Have you ever been anxious/in an anxious low mood and then fainted..as in lost consciousness for seconds/minutes? Its happened to me a few times in my life though the gp said you can't faint because of anxiety but I have:confused: One time it was on my first day of work in a factory the moment I walked in I had a phobia of the factory and felt anxious and numb it was horrible. Im like this with certain environments and at certain times I have to sort of fight against the mood if I don't I end up fainting.

I haven't but my little sister used to when she cried, she would hold her breath until she passed out and we had to wake her up...it happened all the time and was really scary, especially as i was young too when it happened

I woke up once, stretched, took a few steps towards the door and I remember hearing a loud noise. Woke up on the floor and my parents were like

Once I fainted in front of a thousand people. I was singing in my choir group, and I was feeling very sick and ended up on the floor in the middle of the second song.

I have fainted at random times - some with explanation like woke up after a sleepover in like year 7 and hadnt eaten much or had much sleep so just fainted in my friends kitchen - apparantly I smacked my head on the counter but I dont remember any of it!
Also at 6th form filling out forms, i was standing up and next minute I was on the floor! Slightly cringe! The headteacher felt sorry for me so let me go ahead of the other people for the interview! First impressions definitely last...!

I've fainted many times, all times because of feeling squeamish e.g after injections or seeing surgery or something and thinking too much about it. Although once I got one in a lecture but I think it was because I had a really sore stomach and I may have been breathing differently to try and cope with the pain and instead I ended up light headed but I didn't properly faint. I had the ringing ears and red spots in vision, excessive sweating and headache afterwards. I woke up after fainting once and wondered why I was standing against a wall because I wasn't a second before.. then realised I was actually lying on the floor. I haven't fainted for quite a while now though.

Yeah I think it's weird how you just wake up like "eh...?". I've always woken up with a really bad headache, but I don't know if that's due to hitting my head or just the fainting itself?

I always get a headache afterwards and sometimes I don't faint completely or if I did faint I hadn't hit my head. It's due to the dehydration.. you sweat alot and if you dont drink water straight away you'll get the headache from the dehydration.

I have only ever fainted from a) holding my breath for too long or b) falling down the stairs.

a) I used to have really long hair, and my Mum used to rip through it with a hairbrush so hard that I used to scream and cry. I don't know why but holding my breath used to take the pain away, and then I used to pass out. This happened almost every morning for a few years.
b) We've always lived in Victorian houses with really steep staircases. I'm usually fine because I'm so used to running up and down them but occasionally on the way down you slip. A few times I've pass out from a shock to the back after falling.

Also fainted once when I was ill. My Mum says I ran downstairs said to her I felt funny and passed out on her lap.

When I was 6 I fainted, I remember standing reading, then seeing myself standing next to me then I fell on the floor and hit my head on the book shelf! lol

oh and I also have had near faints. e.g. when I was 11, I never ate at school, and on my way home I began to panic on the train, it was packed and I shouted at my older brother arg I gota get of this train! Then I sat on the platform at Woodford stn.

Another time I had games, and my year had to go back for an after school detention and I was at the front and I began to sway, and I was thinking god I gota run somewhere I am gona pass out so I walked off even though the head master was directly in front of me and I just went to my form tutuor and said I need a drink real bad, so she let me out!!!
