Thrush?

Keep anon please.

I'm a 19 year old girl and I think I have thrush but I'd like some advice before I see my doctor.

I've got an itch *down below* and its uncomfortable the rest of the time. I've recently been on antibiotics and I've heard they can cause thrush.

Has anyone else had this? And does it sound like that's what I've got?

Itchiness, maybe some redness/soreness & a whitish slighty chunky discharge (ew, I know...) are all classic signs of thrush. It shouldn't smell bad though, if it does it could be bacterial vaginosis (BV) where you'd need to pop to the doctors for some antibiotics. Thrush medicine (like Canesten) can be picked up without persciption from the local pharmacy, but if you're unsure, especially if you've been having sex, you may want to go to the doctors to rule at any STIs or other conditions and get the correct diagnosis and treatment.

Ok, thanks!

Will the doctor just precribe something for me? It's a male doctor I'm seeing (no female doctor available) so I'm a bit shy!

Just pop that pussy for the Doc.

if you feel unconfortable go to a female pharmacist, they will be able to give you appropriate advice as well, but speaking to your doctor would be better as it is the first time you have got thrush.
