IB Mandarin B HL!

Anyone else taking Mandarin B HL? Could seriously need some help. Does anyone have a link or pdf. file of the syllabus? My teacher is a bit weird... He's great at Chinese (Taiwanese dude) but isn't very good in knowing the IB and its system...
So I need help.
I've done a few past papers and they're all right... Usually. Having trouble reading some characters always and usually only understand 2/6 questions for P2. Does anyone have any tips or hints on what to do? For P1 or P2...
I have my exam tomorrow... :s-smilie:

I'm not a native speaker, but I've lived in China for quite a while and went to Chinese school when I was young (Kindergarden to 3rd grade) but I've forgotten many of my characters that I used to know and only now the past two years in IB have I studied Mandarin since 3rd grade...
Any help is appreciated.

Isn't the syllabus the same for all B languages? I don't think it tells you specifically what you need to know... just rough guidelines.

Anyway, good luck!! Props for you for learning the language at HL. I've forgotten everything even though I'm Chinese. :p:

I guess if you ask classmates what they do at other B languages, you should get a rough idea of what you need to know. I don't do Mandarin however, so don't know anything more specific, but comparing English and German B they appear to be very similar.

I think it's pretty hard to cramp language subject all into your head the night before the exam, its not like science or maths. But good luck anyway.

yeah, of course. but I'm not really cramping, was just wondering if anyone knew of anything that is vital to know which would help on the exams, like essay format wise (p2) or something. I speak mandarin, just. getting a bit worried that there might pop up characters which I'll have no clue whatsoever about.. :s-smilie:

As far as I know, there are no syllabi for B languages apart from the general one in post 2.

Hi, actually i am about to do the diploma very soon and i am choosing ib diploma, language b chinese hl.

Since you have done it before, do you still have the resources that the teacher provided you

i just want to understand how hard the things studied might be

can u attach all the stuff and resources and essay that you might have had
