I dont think cambridge is as magical a place as you think it is - it seems a lot more amazing until you get here when you just treat it like home and it's nothing special. It's only when you really think about what a place it is that you appriciate it, but then that slips out of your head 20 seconds later. Maybe cos I haven't known anything else when it comes to uni experiences though.

Is this like the idea of doing a blog? Why do you tease us so!!

What's your room like, puppy? Can i see a picture of that too?

Took a load of pictures tonight. I'll take one of my room in the morning when it's tidy and I'll try to post them all up sometime tomorrow. You might be lucky and get a few tonight.

Sounds great!! Christmas at Trinity....

I bet it looks a lot nicer in my imagination though - snow and christmas trees and carols and bells from the chapel, etc. etc.

haha I'll get back to earth and studying coz otherwise i will never experience even what Cam is really like!

Ok, for some reason it won't let me upload the pictures (weird message keeps coming up, it's not that the files are too big). So I'll try again later, sorry guys. I'll take some more though on the way to the Faculty this morning, nice sunny day (if it stays this way) so they'll be nice.
I'm a rah with an american accent :frown: which is worse?

If you e-mail the pictures to [email protected] and I will host the pictures. I will also post some thumbnails of them as well.

haha How can you be a rah with an American accent? Part of the definition is that you have a posh English voice

People wear whatever they like. Jeans are obviously very popular, but lots of the girls wear skirts (those ridiculously short minis seem to be in here at the moment, even in the case of those who really don't have the legs for them). The girls might wear jeans with a blazer, or tshirt, or strappy top - anything they like. No one cares what you wear. The blokes also go for jeans and tops, but you do sometimes see them wearing trousers and a shirt. Again, they wear what they feel like. It's all good

What? This isn't school, there's no need to be formal! People are very rarely formal at all, if someone turns up to my lectures in a shirt the first thing I do is ask if it's laundry day!
Obviously some people still put a lot of effort in, but that's different.

Nobody will bat an eyelid if it's hot and you wear such things, last year strappy tops and possibly an overshirt seemed pretty popular with the ladies. In winter they might be a bit more surprised, obviously, so bring a variety of clothes.
