The Student Room Group
It depends what you're looking for - do you want to continue to meet lots of new people (particulary undergrads), still go out clubbing etc? As far as I know HH is mostly undergrad, and will be highly populated by eager freshers. If you feel you've grown out of this, GH might be better since it's all postgrads, and you're all in the same boat.

High Holborn is pretty ideal location-wise (5 minute walk to LSE), though I'm sure it'll be more expensive rent-wise.

Who/what are you talking about?

More postgrads at Grosvenor, High Holborn would be livelier though. Butlers Wharf is better than both.

The location of both seems excellent. Hoping to meet plenty of new people and am thinking that a 5-person flat is more conducive to that.

Butlers Wharf is 6-people flats, and the building is a mixture of undergrads and post-grads - the perfect happy medium surely?

Also curious about what other housing options may be good for a younger post-grad. I'm still of the age where I want pubs and such every weekend. Heck, every weekday.

Are the further options pretty easy to reach by tube, and does that preclude a nightlife (I understand the tubes don't stay open all night like the clubs do)? Are taxis reasonable?
I'm a current postgraduate and I think I can answer some questions

Grosvenor House:

Pros:
1. Its a studio so you dont have to worry about anyone stealing your food in your kitchen, using your stuff and etc.
2. Its very quiet and many people in Grosvenor keep to themselves.
3. Its right inside Covent Garden and is like 5 minutes walk away from LSE

Cons:
1. A lot keep to themselves so its quiet hard to see anyone unless you make an effort.
2. There was a recent construction going right front of the resident but I think that stopped
3. Since its a studio sometimes if your kitchen fan doesnt work your room can smell.

High Holborn

Pros:
1. Location is lovely, 10 minutes away from LSE. 5 minutes away from Leicester Square and like 2-3 minute walk away from Grosvenor
2. Gym nearby if you dont want to use LSE gym
3. Postgraduates dont live with undergraduates in HH since postgraduates usually in 6-9th floor

Cons:
1. For the amount you pay the rooms aren't very big...
2. It gets very noisy at night due to the fact that your in Holborn and your right on the main street. It frustrated my friends that if your room faced the street you cant really open windows at night cause it gets really noisy.
Hi.

I will be doing my Msc HRM starting 2015 sep.
Could you pls suggest if roseberry hall for postgrad wing would be better? As it's catered but still I would like to choose butler's wharf .. I'm not a good cook so would like to socialise with flatmates n do some cooking.. does the allocation of rooms depends on our preference? I would like to stay in a all female flats.. or mixed ones unless its too noisy n cause disturbance. .
Butler's wharf is too far.. is tube accessible at all times..say on a night out is the surrounding safe enough.
