Unlike you guys, I'm going to blame all my non-firstness on crappy lecturers. I'm going to write the university and complain about how my tuition fees are wasted.
Willa, two words to your problem: Leibniz's rule.
-sin a^3 / a + 2 sin a^3 / a^2

unfortunately it is not that simple because the limits contain "a" in them

how on earth did you apply liebnitz to get that?

dude. look up leibniz on mathworld

is that your answer?

patch: Ansorge didn't give Leibniz Integral Rule in his notes. But there is a question which requires it in the example sheet: G1.
Anyone know how to solve vector equations?

axr + kr = c

and r is?

no i dont think it is the correct answer, thats why I'm confused at your application of leibnitz. RichE is probably right!

Well... that's what I got for using leibniz. I'm going to avoid things like that tomorrow.
So when do you cambridge peeps finish?

Once you're done this thread will die. :frown:

best of luck for you're other exams whenever they may be.

Nick - I think w eodn't get our results til 10th week which means I can at least enjoy the rest of this week and next!
Btw - Chloe may that be a lesson to you. Don't get drunk on an empty stomach. But look on the bright side - at least you didnt drop a beer glass on the floor lika a certain numpty *cough* Nick. :p:

Nice you were looked after though - returning the favour for the other night  and why did hardly anyone turn up from other colleges? It was us and you guys. Just shows we really are an unsociable subject :s: :frown:

Ive heard the end of ninth banded around as a results timetable - although seems early to me. I suspect yours is probably correct.

Feeling better now?

If a and c are independent then a, c and a x c will form a basis

So any r can be written uniquely in the form

r = Xa + Yb + Z(a x c)

Sub this into the equation and you'll get conditions on X, Y and Z by comparing the coefficients of a, of c, and of axc

thanks guys, am feeling fine now and had a good evening with parents. It's strange having nothing to do now...been doing washing (and my rents took most of my stuff home this morning) and now going to run a few errands etc.

Not sure why no1 from any of the other colleges turned up...especially as the Jesuites invited us to the pub to begin with and I just extended the invitation to loads of other ppl. Oh and well done Nick for dropping the glass - I remember that happening (if not much else!). I've also learnt never to drink on an empty stomach again - I'm not a big drinker and usually 3/4 drinks are all I ever have and I'm always the sober one among my friends, so I suppose it was good to be the other way round for once, although I must admit, I'm reluctant to drink again now after being drunk yesterday; I'll never get drunk again I promise!!!

Anyways, lets hope we all passed (I'm sure you guys did...it's me I'm worried about!!!) and hopefully results will come out relatively soon (but not spoil my bday!!!).
When do you guys leave Ox?
