Edit: Am I right in thinking there have been 1160/47 ~= 25 posts a day on this thread? That's quite a lot.

How many of those were on physics LM?

And shouldn't you be celebrating? All of you?

There's no1 to celebrate with as they're all in the library revising!
Yeah all me mates are in the library. Besides, I'm expecting a mark that is close to the fail/pass borderline, so I can't exactly *celebrate* now. And it's really humid outside today, deceptively so. No gentle breeze either!

That is sooo not true!!!!!

You are far too clever and are more likely to be close to the distinction/pass borderline ... or the 100% / distinction borderline  !!!!!!!!

I do agree about the humidity though
That makes me feel better, but doesn't cloud the truth...!

Stu, I point you to http://www-thphys.physics.ox.ac.uk/users/JamesBinney/, look at the PDFs under "Lecture Courses," in particular QM, CM, Classical Fields, Geometry & Physics; for further reading on general relativity especially the last 2; To get the conceptual leap from CM to QM, the one on CM is very good.

EDIT: It's 4th year stuff, but nothing too bad in terms of handling maths, and you sound like you know most of it already.

Thanks LM - I shall have a careful read over the vacation. Ive already got 8 books out the library to read over the summer :p:

I dont actually know that much mathematically. But I have a genius tutorial partner who likes nothing better than to go on at me about tensors. I also read a lot of quantum stuff as its my personal interest. Basically my knowledge is qualitative rather than quantitive but I shall definitely take a look. Taa very muchly

The enevlopes are just plain boring white ones. Need them to send some cheques and also to post our children's letters which will be written tonight (we drafted one at 1:30am the other day!).

I'm not big on the whole spamming thing, unless it's boatie talk (go Will, bump bump bump!!!) or I'm on Simon's account as he needs to get a higher post count so when he reps me it counts more

Anyways, I think it's time for some rep swapping...so some's coming your way today Stu!

I sent my letters last week. Although I have yet to meet my erm.... husband  :s:

Rep swapping huh? As long as its for a valid reason sounds ok to me :p: You shall go on my rep list never fear.. Although I gotta find a decent post :p:

Im starting to think you like rep from this post. :p:

Likewise if you guys have failed then I doubt they'll even let me resit!

I wish we knew when we're getting our results - the chemists find out tomorrow!!!!

How can you not know? I would have thought the tutors could tell you.

Physicists last year found out pretty early, perhaps before i had even finished mine.. 9th week?
Not knowing makes it all very exciting dont you think

Nah - you're just a masochist.

Would you be happy to wait till September?

Physics and maths don't take long to mark I think - but I'm still surprised you haven't been given a date or an estimate of one
I think the estimate is 10 days after the last exam, which would put most of us at the end of 9th?

When you people going down?

*giggles immaturely*

meh, I don't know when English get theirs. Just one random day, the envelope will plop onto the mat. MEH!
