The Student Room Group

MA from Richmond, American Int'l University in London

I've applied, and been accepted, to the masters art history program at Richmond (I graduate in May from The George Washington University in Washington, DC). I haven't been able to find any rankings/reviews for the graduate program, and after reading a thread regarding Richmond's undergraduate program, I am beginning to worry. Does anyone have any personal experience or advice? Would Richmond be considered a joke school if, for example, I planned on appliying to top level graduate schools in the U.S. after Richmond? Would I be better taking a year off and applying to better schools for the 2006-2007 school year? I would hate to attend Richmond and find its degree and reputation were largely ignored. Any advice or information would be appreciated.

Thanks,
Tess

There's a ranking of graduate history departments on that website. I couldn't find Richmond.

Why not apply straight to a Ph.D. program (assuming you want a doctorate)? It's cheaper and saves time.
