Serve Legal

I saw a flyer for a job as a mystery shopper type job in my college the other day at servelegal.co.uk. I have always wanted a job like this so I applied today and I was just wondering if anyone has ever worked for them?? I applied this afternoon and they e-mailed me shortly after to say I have the job (I think?) and that they will let me know when some visits come up? I'm a little bit wary that I didn't have an interview or anything! :s-smilie:

I work for them :yep:
You dont have an interview, you log onto the website and the visits are on there with all the details! Normally they text you to check the visits/ deadlines are ok then they get uploaded!
I got the email saying I had the job, but then never heard anything else from them again. It's been about 3 months.

Lol, it's one of those jobs, everyone gets by the sounds of things. Do you even get paid for it?

Ahh hello! How long have you worked for them? How much do you get paid for visits? What are the visits like? How many visits do you do generally in a week? Have you ever done a visit that you didn't get paid for cause you didn't send the receipt in time? Do you get petrol money?

Sorry for all the questions!

Just over a year
£5/ £4 depending on the store
Like buying alcohol as normal!
Its more of a monthly thing...about 6-8+ a month, depending on how many visits they need to get done (ie. more at christmas etc)
No, but you might as well post it straight away....take a stamped/ addressed envelope with you and do it asap
Yes...20p a mile

Hope that helps!

Edit: on top of the £4/£5 you get either £3/£4 for your alcohol that you buy  and of course you keep it

Thank you! and im sorry but I have more questions!
Do you have to prove your milage? If so, how? £4/5 per visit is not very much at all! I was thinking it was going to be like £20! How long after you got the job did you start getting visits?

Noo you dont prove your mileage, but obviously if the visit is only like 5 miles away and you claim for 50 odd then theyll pick up on it lol
Nope its not alot, but you dont exactly do much! and you get to keep the alcohol you buy on top of that
Umm pretty instantly tbh, they really needed people in wales

Naaah
Although if you only spend like £1.90 on a bottle of cheapy vodka ****....you still get the full £4

OP: Its not like a 'job' job.... You're mystery shopping, you're not going to be a given a proper salary and you definitely couldn't live on it. Its a nice little extra for pocket money, but I wouldn't bother driving out to all these places just for the sake of £30 a month, you'll spend more in petrol no doubt.

Wow! that's pretty cool! But if you spend more than £4 on something do they give you more?

20p a mile? So if you drive a 30 mile round trip, thats £3? Pretty crap really... And in my experience, if you buy more than £4 of booze, you won't get more money. Why would the company give you more? Its just to check that shops aren't serving underage customers (most of the time), they could send you in for a single can of beer and it'd be the same thing.
