You should remove it before it rejects completely.

However, some piercings do move slightly to a better position for your body. Only remove it if you're sure it's gonna reject, you don't like the new positioning, it hurts and you';re sure there's no infection. It might be worth visiting your peircer to see what they suggest.

You can have it repierced in as little as 6 weeks, but it depends where it is. And where you get it repierced depends on loads of things, so ask your piercer!

Well, I went to the place where I had it done, on Monday and a piercer told me that I could leave it in for now. She said I should use a smaller bar because it had moved so needs less metal. I managed to find a small one from my small collection at home and it feels okay, though it's a dangly one and they tend to get a bit irritating after a while. It is not infected and feels absolutely fine, it just seems to be moving (!!). Thanks for your advice. I am just hoping that it doesn't move any more because I do quite like it (even though I never show it off (?)) and don't want to go through the hassle of getting it repierced.

I'd advise you to buy a new one then, if it's dangly. You don't want to irritate it any more! Body Jewellery Shop or Guru are good and cheap.

I've used those 2 sites so I know they're good, although there are loads more! I'd say go with titanium as it's better quality, but all would be good except for acrylic or any other kind of plastic.

And if you're tempted to go proper shopping then don't go to Claires. They have pretty jewellery but label it badly. It either has no length, or it's labelled wrong! I bought one that was supposed to be a 14 but it clearly wasn't, and they didn't wanna give me a refund til I quoted the sale of goods act at them, refused to go away and held up the queue.

Yes, I agree. Titanium is good, plastic is baddd. *Ahem* I bought a few at Claire's ages ago...Meh, that sucks! I had a similar thing. I bought one that was supposedly a 10, and it turned out to be way too small. (The one I'm wearing now...)

Claire'd don't seem to get that there's 2 bits to sizing! Or rather, they are supposed to wrote on the packaging but never do. I sometimes decide to ask them if they have a ruler and measure it, just to annoy them. I figure if they get annoyed enough then they might start labelling properly.

Claire's is evil! Do not buy from claire's! They pierce with guns :frown:

I swear it looks even smaller today.

Measure it!

Does it hurt (I mean lots, and more than it has before)?
Is there a visible red line between the two holes sorta connecting them?
Is there more redness than you've had before?
When you sit down, is there pressure on it from your clothes, or does it move/twist?
Where is it?! (I'm assuming navel)

It doesn't hurt at all. *Checks* No red lines, no redness. Pressure from my clothes? No, not really, I make sure I wear my trousers/skirts low so I don't touch the piercing. (More comfortable anyway). Yes, it's a navel one. From the edge of the bar, to the end of my skin it's 3mm... Oh my God, it's so small...
Reply 12
Is that the distance between the holes?
Reply 13
Erm, it's hard to measure the distance between the holes because of the shape of the skin there...The 3mm was from one hole to the edge of the skin, if that makes any sense.
Reply 14
That's so tiny! I took mine out when it was 4mm, but it went down from 10mm to 6mm practically overnight and was really painful. It's up to you really, but do keep a close eye on it

I'll see how it goes. Thanks.
