FILLER PHRASES FOR AQA AS FRENCH!! GCE exam 17/5

Hey all,

Can anyone give me some 'filler' phrases that can boost up my grade in the writing part of the AQA New GCE exam please?

Evaluative phrases are good too ( 'en conclusion' par exemple)

I have: N'oublions pas, on ne s'y trompe pas en pensent, Quelque personnes diraient que.

Oh and by the way, is it "quelque personnes diraient que"? Where do the s's go?

il faut avouer que - one must admit that
Il m'est impossible de donner un avis definitif sur - i cant express a definite opinion on (+accent on e in definitif)
je ne me le suis jamais demande - ive never wondered about it (+accent on end of demande)
Il me semble que - it seems that

also can i ask, would ' i fear that is is' be 'je crains qu'il soit' or 'je crains qu'il ne soit' like i found on the internet :s-smilie:

I know that "de crainte que" is followed by 'ne' (for fear of), but I don't know about je crains que. Hmm..

The latter would be 'I fear that it isn't'....I think, anyway.

I think the latter is correct. According to my grammar book:
"Je crains qu'elle ne le fasse" - Note that 'ne' precedes the deponent verb but does not make the sentence negative.

I think "ne" would translate as "lest" here :smile:

I use "euh" a lot.

It's French for "um". Helps the accent, too, I find.

(I got a B at A-level French, and study a French module at University).
