It all depends on the person.
Your "buddy" is quite arrogant and naive. A "B" lol.

Tbf, depends on subject and level.

E.g. It would be easier to study GCSE Maths in 3 days than A2 History imo.

Yes

I got an A, near enough full marks, in my general studies A level and i did 2 minutes studying for it, and by studying i mean ''googling'' it to confirm that it is a ****** subject and i was wasting my time and money by taking it.

I conclude that this is the amount of revision time needed for every subject. If anyone disagrees please quote/references

It all depends on the person as said above ...

It is obviously much better to study further in advance, but some people leave it ridiculously late ...

However, he may be trying to achieve a B, but if he's THAT good, then why not study a bit more and aim for an A?

I got an A in an A2 chemistry exam with less than 4 hours revision before the synoptic paper, so yes it's entirely possible. Depends on the individual and how much they can remember in a short space of time though.
I will tell you in 3 days, lets go chemistry!
for me its enough.
last year i did an r.s exam,
only preparing the day before.
& got a A*
but yeah, depends on the person. i have a good memory. so...

GS isn't a 'real' subject! :P

I managed an A last year in one of my Philosophy exams, which I hardy revised for. I was concentrating more on the other two Philosophy exams because I struggled more with those I felt.

So, I guess it is possible (but only perhaps if you had prior understanding of the topics covered?)

Even so, it still doesn't stop it from being a highly unwise decision.

More fool him if he fails I guess :o:

If I studied any of my subjects for 3 days before the exam then I could pretty much guarantee a B or an A in them. But it does depend on the subject and the person, for instance it would be very difficult for subjects like History.
Hehe it is for general studies.. but that's cos there's no actual substance to the exam
it is possible, completely dependent on the person in question though.

it is often my technique, i find cramming more efficient than a months prior revision.

Again all dependent on the person, if they want to understand what they are learning, and really grasp it (long-term memory), or just remember as much of it as they can in a shorter space of time.

A story im very proud of is when i passed my IB maths mock exam just after christmas a few years ago. I did no revision for any of the exams, and even went out to Fabric in London the night before the exam, got the train back at 6.15am straight to school, bought some mcdonalds breakfast and waited til 9am for the exam. Spent the exam hungover and tired all dressed in my friday night best, and finished it 30 mins early. i ended up getting the best mark in the year.

i was really surprised to say the least, but ive never been a good reviser, i dnt think ive ever revised for anything in my life. i think im just lucky that i can soak up some subjects with ease.
Yes its possible. I'm to worst procrastinator and its practically impossible for me to revise until the day before/ 2 days before. I got all B's in my A levels and can't help but think that if I made more of an effort I would have done better and got into a better uni.

Ah well, no use regreting anything.
I got an A in AS Biology only revising on the day of the exam (that wasn't arrogance by the way, I just had to revise non-stop for Chemistry and I knew I'd do well in Biology anyway).

It depends how well you pick it up through the year. I loved biology so picked it all up and a quick refresher before the exams was enough for me to do well.
ICT AS (in year 10) - Revised the whole of unit 2 on Sunday in time for the exam on Monday and was 2 marks of an A.

Science GCSE - 3 days prior to the exam and 100% (although gateway science is a joke tbf).

Computing Comp1/2 this year - 99% sure i've got at least a B with 2 days revision before each exam.

Deffo do-able. Depends on the subject too though, I would never dream of doing it for AS chemistry...

General studies is not a real subject, noone in my school revised for it (not even 2 minutes like yourself).
Put on your Superman cape and gooooooooooooooooooooooooo
For anything A-level and below, definitely as long as you spend at least half of each day revising, but there's no way you can pass your exams at uni with only 3 days revision.
