boyfriend and past relationships - dont add up

When I was asking my boyfriend about his past relationships, he told me he had another ‘serous’ girlfriend, who he was with for 8 months, she was 5 years older than him, and that she cheated on him. But I find it strange, that his friends and parents knew nothing about her. In fact, nobody did. But his friends and parents knew about me straightway. He also said she was the first person he slept with.

But then a few months ago, he told me that the first person he slept with, was when it was 16, and it was a one night stand with a girl at a party. When I asked him about his ‘other ex’ he said he didn’t say anything like that at all.

Something is not adding up here. What do you all think?

its understandable that nobody knew anything about her due to the age gap but if he's inconsistent in most things he says then he might just be lieing I don't know

he might have said he slept with that woman first because it sounds better saying he lost his virginity to someone he was in a relationship with than just some girl he met at a party

I think cut the guy some slack. So what hes said he had a girlf to make him sound a bit more experienced thats just his pride, let him keep it.

hmmm. i was with my ex for 5 years and i lovd him for 7 yrs.my mom sort of knew who he was, my dad had no idea. neither of my parents knew we were anything more than frinds cos they r really strict and even now im 20 im not allowed a bf, so i see my bf in secret and they have no idea. my frinds knew of my ex but didnt lik him so didn know him well. and with my current bf, they havent met him tho i do talk aboot him.

if you mean they havent met him, then i totally understand esp if he is religios/strict family. but if he didnt even mention her to him, 5 yrs age difference- is quite alot. if i met someone 5 yrs older than me when i was 15-16 i'd keep it secret too, and not tell my mates or family hell my fmily would kill the guy :eek:

so perhaps, he did have this gf but he lost it to the girl at the party so he wouldnt seem a wimop when it came to sex. and also, the gf was his proper ex. this girl at a party was just 1 night. but perhaps i do think he is lying- at 16th birthdays, how many 15yr old girls have 1 night stands?
