# Riddles..

1) How many letters are in the alphabet?
2) What row of numbers comes next?

3) A woman has 7 children, half of them are boys.
How can this be possible?

4) A farmer and his hired help were carrying grain to the barn. The farmer carried one sack of grain and the hired help carried two sacks. Who carried the heavier load and why?

1) 26 or 11 depending how anal you're feeling
2) used to know this can't be bothered to work it out again now
3) they were all boys so obviously half would be boys too.
4) the farmer - the hired help carried to sacks with no grain in.

one sack of grain
two sacks (no grain).

Of course it's assumed that they are two full sacks but it's like the alphabet question - there are two answers and which one is right depends on how anal you are.

A man lives on the top floor of a block of flats. Every morning he takes the lift down to the ground floor and goes to work. On the way home from work however, he gets the lift half way up and then climbs the steps to the top floor to get home. Why?
