Taking the offer doesnt obligate you to anything. I have accepted two offers but and I am waiting for three more. As long as money has not been exchanged then you are alright.

Exactly right i have seven offers and am declining 6 this week. Just make sure you dont pay a deposit especially when you are sure you dont want to go there.

While exeter gives 3 months time for deciding on your offer without paying a deposit, nottingham gives 6 weeks and you have to put down 300 pounds.

Not having heard yet from other unis i'm interested in i guess i'll have to accept nottingham at the last minute, but in any case it would be my first choice

Ive also received a conditional offer from Nottingham, but it asked me to reply in 4 weeks and pay 300 pounds as deposit.
Reply 5
yeah, also mine says 4 weeks, not 6.

I have a question: What if you pay the deposit but decide not to go there?

I've been asked to tae the TOEFL although my first language is english: make sense?

If you're applying from abroad they quite often make you take a test, especially if you're from a country where you might not necessarily have English as you're first language, such as India. I've even had British friends have to take the test when they've gone to the US to study! If you email and explain, they might make you submit some proof rather than having to take an entire course.

I just received a conditional offer from Nottingham for the MA Finance programme.

As I am waiting for the response of other unis, I would like to know whether accepting entails any obligation if later I don't want to go.

Also, I've been asked to tae the TOEFL although my first language is english: make sense?

Cheers

TOEFL aint tuff... u dnt even hve to prepare 4 it... u jst hve to getap one fine day and give da exam... alll the best
I have a brother called kunal!

to the subject matter, yes there will be an obligation, but you can get out of it with a little whining, once you piad the fees, i think its much harder
Actually, i'm taking IELTS not TOEFL. I like taking exams while not revising and acing them anyway
