Aah poor you... I sometimes get things like that, not so much now though. More often when I was 16/17. Anyway, I really do think the best thing to do is leave them alone! If they have no head then there's nothing to squeeze... you're only going to spread the bacteria or whatever.

Some of my friends swear by tea tree oil sticks and those Oxy sticks that you buy from Boots and dab a bit onto the spot... never used them myself though. The best thing I can suggest is to leave it alone and keep the skin around it clean... I often used to get them when I was stressed or under a lot of pressure - it may well be a hormonal thing. If it is, the best thing you can do is try and ignore it and it'll probably be gone in a few days.

I do sympathise with you though... it makes you feel down just when you have one little, tiny spot (even though when you have one it feels like there's a volcano erupting on the side of your cheek!). Hope it goes soon! x

Oh ho! I know about these spots.
They're like big boils, and they're headless? And squeezing is painful?

What you want to do is get tea tree oil(£3.99 at Boots - Red Box, "Australian Bodycare"), don't dilute it, but apply it straight on. Keep applying it every few hours during the day, and make sure you put some on before you go to bed. Keep repeating this until it goes away.

It should stop it dead in its tracks. DON'T go trying to pop it. Unlike the conventional whitehead and it's relatives, there's really no exit hole, and all that happens is the spot gets redder, and buried further below the skin, allowing it to get even bigger.

Urgh, I call them stress spots. Antiseptic cream is really good for them. Weird how I sometimes get them on my chin and nowhere else...

Hurty spots :frown:

Everyone seems to be getting them on their chin. When I get them, they are always on my cheeks and they take forever to go away :frown:

i get them theyre horrible. try witch hazel. another thing thats good is getting some cotton wool, putting it under water that is as hot as you can stand and putting it on the spot dont pop it though, by the morning its usually gone down or come up in a white head that you can pop. it works for me anyway.

I used to get them reasonably frequently kind of on my neck/jawline area - flat spots that are more like hard bumps under the skin. Since I started taking the pill (2 years ago) I haven't had a single one! Not much help for the boys, but it does suggest they might be hormonal...

They are acne cysts. Not much you can do about them, if you get more you can always get a prescription. Squeezing is generally not advised.
