i wish i still got that rush when i smoke.

does anyone else find they dont get addicted to smoking? every so often i buy a pack of cigarettes, and i smoke them over a few days, then i dont smoke for ages, sometimes over a year. it's maybe because i smoke when i'm drunk, but i never sit here and think "i could really do with a cigarette now". do some people just not get addicted?

I smoke when ever im out with some smokers and get a bit pissed, and still get the full nictoine rush. its bloody awesome.

never ever ever smoke when sober or solo of course. And yeh, if you 'need' a ciggie then its time u stopped for a while. dont think ive had one in months. besides, makes ur breath smell :wink:

Yeah, I might not be totally addicted but I really enjoy smoking when I go out drinking. I find it difficult to go into a pub and not have a cigarette. Apart from that though, I don't really enjoy smoking by myself so I guess i'm a social smoker more than anything.

It is because it does take quite a long time to get addicted. You need to smoke quite a lot and smoke regularly to get properly addicted. The problem is, by the time you realise you are addicted, it is too late!

In my opinion, the physical addiction isn't that bad but the psychological addiction is virtually impossible (in my case) to overcome. Whenever I have tried to quit, the thought that 'this is my last ciggerette' terrified me!
