is A a right angle?
is A a right angle?
Whole Question is:
In the triangle ADE
BC is parallel to DE
AB = 8cm
AC = 5cm
BD = 4cm
BC = 9cm
a) work out the length of DE
b) Work out the length of CE
Not sure about trapezium rule, dont you have to know the area, would have two unknowns in that equation.

DE = (4+8)/8 * 9 = 13.5cm
CE = 4/8 * 5 = 2.5 cm

ah you haven't put down the length bc. that helps.
DE = (4+8)/8 * 9 = 13.5cm
CE = 4/8 * 5 = 2.5 cm
