welcome pack includes -

tution fees and residence fees booklet
enrolement guide booklet
uni services and faculty booklet
and a letter telling us about a welcome meeting and term dates

thats about it really.

oh yea and when i emailed, they said they aint recieved my deposit yet. they go they will give it until tommrow otherwise cancellation. i put it in the post on sunday. anyone think itll get there tommrow?

wait....just read the above thingy....sorry. Is the accomodation pack the thing with the pink letter which tells u ur room etc, and which u have to reply to with the deposit? should i have had anything after that?

last thing i got from them was a break down of tuition costs i believe, about a month ago.

got my pink slip in about june, had a a few things since

i was also expecting something more whole and welcoming
i havent got ne of that! the last thing i got was the pack in which u picked wat accomodation u wanted!! and that was agessss ago! :frown:

oh god its all so confusing. wen u get acceoted there they shud send u a letter saying 'by this date u shud have received this, and by this date u shud have received this' then we cud all stop worrying!
That'd be a great idea, I've had letters get lost in the post so I'm worried about whether the important forms will get to me.

Everyone just calm down, everything will work out just fine!

I dont think the welcome/freshers packs have been sent out yet have they? And im sure that the deadline is just to scare ppl a little bit so the cheques come in faster lol

i got my welcome pack and accomodation info the day after results.

after that i think a freshers pack is meant to follow. i presume this would come after you accept the uni and accomodation placement.

u got a welcome pack? after results day? i havn't got one, also i havn't recevied the freshers pack

i rang up to day and some security gaurd picked it up, saying that aston is closed, for god sake, grr
ok lets re-cap

a.)accomodation pack - which tells u which place uve got + the slip uve gotta attach and pay the deposit for ur accom. ( i am NOT talkin abt the pretty one w/ the CD and all...this is the one w/ the pink page that u need to have on hand w/ u to collect ur keys at the receptions)

b.)welcome pack - fine print stuff which contains 1.)term dates 2.)letter of welcome etc

c.)acceptance letter- this is 'the' letter from the uni which tells u uve made it.

so summing the whole thing up u shuld first have c.) and then have a.) they are the most crucial things....im sure we'd get the welcome pk soon if we havent (and if we dunt it wont kill us...lol)

Taz,aston should open 2mrw and chances are ur letter wuld have reached em..so calm down and if not im sure they'd be kind enough to give u a place

Ravi, im assumin thts most likely cuz aston was ur insurance choice..

rest of us w/out welcome pks- its prbly in the mail somewhere....(im still gettin stuff sent back in may cuz the ppl in the uni dint put enough postage on it and it came by sea ¬_¬)

i havent yet got my offical letter of acceptance (refer c lol) w/out which i cant apply for my visa (i shuld get it in a weeks time) yea..its all muddled up.

oh gowd, each thread is getting more and more confusing......Anu has cleared some of it.

i thought the welcome pack and the freshers pack are two different things?

i think ill carry on worrying now.....

The Freshers Week pack is sent by the guild seperately and contains your freshers week handbook with event info and things about student life.
